White-Collar and Tax Criminal Law
White-collar criminal proceedings are complex in both legal and factual terms. Moreover, the mere existence of an investigation can damage the reputation of—or even threaten the very existence of—the individuals and companies involved. Whether working independently or as part of a team, we are accustomed to handling even extremely extensive cases. Our expertise covers a wide spectrum of offenses, ranging from fraud, breach of trust, and the withholding or embezzlement of wages to insolvency-related crimes and offenses involving copyright and competition law.
In the field of criminal tax law, we provide advice and defense in proceedings involving, for example, tax evasion and tax underpayment, customs offenses, or subsidy fraud. We also advise you on the submission of voluntary disclosures.
Narcotics criminal law

Whether the case involves trafficking large quantities of narcotics, encrypted messaging investigations—such as those surrounding EncroChat, Sky, or ANOM—or smaller amounts of soft drugs, we possess extensive expertise in the Narcotics Act (BtMG), the Medicines Act, and the Cannabis Act. We know exactly how to mount a defense, particularly in cases involving detention and proceedings classified by the public prosecutor’s office as "organized crime."
Capital criminal law
Proceedings involving (attempted) murder and manslaughter before the Serious Crimes Court are characterized by the high stakes involved. We do not shy away from challenging cases in this area; instead, we passionately advocate for you in court.
Summary penal proceedings
While the purely written summary penalty order procedure often involves allegations of relatively minor gravity, it is nonetheless worthwhile to take action and file an objection within the two-week deadline following service. In the subsequent main hearing, it is often still possible to achieve a dismissal of proceedings, an acquittal, or other significant improvements.
Pre-trial detention
When an arrest warrant is executed, the lives of the accused and those around them are turned upside down. What is required is a swift and resolute defense against continued detention, combined with conscientious and close support for the incarcerated client. We know how to deal with the judicial authorities and correctional facilities in such cases. Providing effective legal protection for accused persons deprived of their liberty is a matter of great importance to us.
General Criminal Law
The so-called "core criminal law" encompasses all charges under the Criminal Code (StGB) that fall outside the scope of special penal statutes. We provide defense representation in all such proceedings.
Appeal proceedings on points of law
A key focus of our work is the proceedings before the Higher Regional Courts and the Federal Court of Justice—conducted almost exclusively in writing and without an oral hearing—which are fraught with numerous pitfalls arising from both statute and the judicial development of the law.
